A cold January morning in Hayfork Gully, An Teallach
North Wales 2021
It’s very unclear as to when lockdown restrictions will be relaxed enough so that tourism can resume in North Wales. The next update from Welsh Govt is due on the 12th of March. Despite all the uncertainty, life goes on and I’m happy to chat about the possibility of arranging any climbing, scrambling or hill walking for when we can head into the hills again. Just give me a call or drop me an email. We can tentatively put something in the diary, and if it can’t happen for any Covid related reason, I’ll return any deposit paid. No quibbles.
There’s now a roadmap detailing how and when Scotland will ease out of lockdown. The 26th of April looks the earliest possible date for when I can start offering guiding in the Highlands, for Scottish residents anyway. The 17th of May is looks the likely date for all UK residents. Again, I’m happy to chat about the possibility of arranging any climbing, scrambling or hill walking this spring and summer in the Scottish mountains. Just give me a call or drop me an email.
I’ve made this website live before it’s finished. I’m not sure whether that’s a good or bad thing. It’s a lockdown project that’s taken way way longer than anticipated. Getting pixels to stay where you want them to is the digital equivalent of herding cats. My head has been fried with coding and too much screen time, and those intense Divi tutorials on YouTube with the fella in the cable knit jumper… I need to take a break.
The previous site was a bit of an antique. It was slowly giving up the ghost and had become unreadable on tablets and mobiles. I tried to ignore the problem, like you do with a noisy wheel bearing on the van, but it only got worse with time.
