An evening ascent of Lighthouse Arete, Castel Helen, Gogarth
I’ve committed the heinous crime of making this website live before it’s finished. It’s a lockdown project that’s taken way way longer than anticipated. Getting pixels to stay where you want them to is the digital equivalent of herding cats. My head has been fried with coding and too much screen time, and those intense Divi tutorials on YouTube with the fella in the cable knit jumper… time for a break!
My previous site was a bit of an antique. It was giving up the ghost and becoming unreadable on tablets and mobiles. I tried to ignore the problem, like you do with a noisy wheel bearing on the van, but it only got worse with time. This site shrinks to fit when viewed on a phone, well, it will do after a few more divi tutorials. I aim to finish the summer section of this site in the next few weeks too.
During the summer months I provide skills training in hill walking, scrambling and rock climbing. By summer I really mean April through to November, when there’s unlikley to be any significant snow on the hills. Unlike the winter, I don’t work full time as an instructor, as there isn’t the demand across all the summer months. However, I am flexible and can still arrange courses and guiding timed to suit most people’s requests.
I’ll be offering summer stuff again in April 21.
Guided hill walks in North Wales and Scotland, for individuals, groups and clubs. Navigation training…
Guided scrambling in North Wales and on Skye’s Cuillin. Intro training days in Snowdonia…
